On a day that might resemble any other, my friend comes to me and desperately tells me that he has been trying really hard to make his dreams a reality: he has inscribed himself to different groups where the Law of attraction principles get discussed regularly. He is also following many inspirational accounts on Twitter and is part of different mailing lists that send him daily quotes to keep the motivation and a positive outlook in life. Yet despite of all this, he just doesn't seem to figure out, how to stay positive most of the time.
He's got it, that complaining, blaming and speaking or thinking negatively about his life's circumstances will not bring to him, what he needs. But what can he possibly do on a daily basis to move more into the direction of what he is wishing for?
He is almost starting to waver in his belief, wouldn't he have seen the LOA clearly in action and thus know on an intellectual level that it does work.
The hardest part for him is to shut out the demons in his own head. So what can he do?
It's been written before and will be written about many times over, but the most important starting point lies in shifting your vibration.
What does that actually mean? It's all about how you feel most of the time during your day. Controlling every moment is just not possible, but if you can make the majority of your daily feelings positive you're there!
All the thoughts that are spinning in your head, do either contribute to you reaching what you are longing for or not. Look at it this way: you go to a grocery store and take an apple, some sparkling water and a chocolate bar. The price you pay for each item is the feeling that comes along with it. The apple and the water will give you a feeling of satisfaction and satiety, while the chocolate might be delicious for the first 20 seconds, but it is pretty predictable that after having eaten the entire chocolate bar you might feel guilty.
Guilty to hear yourself saying, why didn't I stop after the healthy apple and the nourishing fresh water? This one last thing might turn the entire experience into a negative feeling. The same is true for your thoughts, they often come in groups and mixed with positive as well as negative outlooks and are always attached to a certain feeling.
The daily practice
For the LOA to work, it is not necessary to be happy and smiling like a Buddha 24/7. That is a pure Utopia and not going to be applicable anyway. But what you can possibly do is to stop 3 times a day, for example every time before you have breakfast, lunch and dinner and ask yourself: how am I actually feeling right now? Am I feeling uplifted? Angry? Jealous of anything or anybody? In love? If you recognize it to be a good feeling, keep it up!
If you feel that you are actually irritated in some way, then immediately get to work and do something that you know makes you feel better instantly. Don't allow that irritation to last longer than the moment you notice it. Listen to a song that makes you feel good, go for a walk in the park or play with your children or a pet, give your better half a long and warm hug. Should this negative feeling be due to an argument with a friend or a colleague, think about how you can solve this situation. Don't let it linger. Is it your turn to say sorry? Would you like to just discuss with them to find a way out together? Gather the facts, but always focus on the solution.
Do anything that is ethically acceptable ;) and that will help you shift your feelings, your vibration into a higher state. Do this 3 times a day, every day and see how this prolonged thought will have a tremendous impact on your entire life.
You know that success is nothing else than to have habituated ways of thinking good thoughts and thus also habituated ways of being. So you know what to do: create a daily recurring alarm for 3 instants during your day, name it “My vibration check” and let it help you remember to feel good and get your vibration back on track!
